Reading to launch book on intimate partner violence

A talk Tuesday, May 6, by Pamela Cross will serve as a launch for her book And Sometimes They Kill You: Confronting the Epidemic of Intimate Partner Violence.

The event is presented by the Health Research Centre for the Study of Violence Against Women in collaboration with the Humanities Research Group, the School of Social Work, the Sahra Bulle Foundation, Unifor, and the Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee Windsor-Essex.

Cross is a feminist lawyer and an expert on violence against women and the law. She works as a researcher, writer, educator and trainer with women’s equality and violence against women organizations across Canada.

Tuesday’s event is being held in Room 110, Windsor Hall; no registration is required. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the reading to begin at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own reuseable water bottle. Books will be available for purchase for $30 cash or e-transfer.
