Loving communication on agenda for AfroFest Friday

The cultural celebration AfroFest will take on the theme “Love and Expression” Friday, with events including:

  • “Know thy Brother and Sister,” a discussion of the differences between black Americans, black Canadians, Caribbean Canadians, and Africans who live in Canada;
  • a session on “Love and Expression through the Arts;”
  • and at the Art Gallery of Windsor, “Love Languages,” featuring performances of spoken word, singing and music. Admission is $10 in advance or $20 at the door.

Activities Thursday in the CAW Student Centre Commons include the Global African Icons History Museum, the workshop “Inspiring Inclusion,” the panel discussion “Growing Up Black,” and a Black Lives Matter candlelight vigil.
