In addition to providing networking opportunities for students and graduates of the University of Windsor and St. Clair College, Tuesday’s job fair will give attendees the chance to have their resumes critiqued or to partake in a short mock interview.
The event, on the theme “A Partnership to the Future,” runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. January 22 in the Skyline Room, St. Clair Centre for the Arts. A free bus service will shuttle students from Vanier Circle to downtown every 30 minutes, starting at 9:30 a.m.

The University of Windsor Centre for Career Education, in partnership with St. Clair College, is holding a job fair for students and alumni of both institutions on Tuesday, January 22, at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts.
A job interview can induce a lot of anxiety—especially for students, many of whom have never been through interviews for professional positions related to their fields of study.

“The more school you have, the more money you make over time,” said the fourth-year history major, one of hundreds of UWindsor students touring the Continuing Education Fair in the CAW Student Centre on Tuesday.
She spoke with Chris Young, program administrator for the Odette MBA, about pursuing graduate study in business.
“It would let me take what I have learned in history and apply it to help society,” Jabbour said.
The Centre for Career Education, in partnership with the Faculty of Graduate Studies, presents the seventh annual Continuing Education Fair on Tuesday, October 23.
More than 40 exhibitors from educational institutions will showcase their graduate and post-graduate programs to University of Windsor students. This year, the fair will spread across two locations in the CAW Student Centre, with exhibitors in the Commons area as well as in Ambassador Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For Peng Jiang, networking with regional employers gives an insight into how companies and students can help each other succeed.
Jiang was one of many students who attended the second annual Working in Windsor-Essex Career Expo in the Ambassador Auditorium on Thursday. A native of Beijing, he is a master’s student of international accounting and finance, and looks forward to job offers from employers in the region.
Davor Srsen was in the middle of the arduous task of finishing his masters’ degree the last time the University’s Centre for Career Education held an event to showcase for students some of the region’s most promising employment sectors.
“I was rushing to finish, but I got an e-mail about the career fair and I decided to check it out,” said the recent graduate of electrical engineering.

UWindsor faculty and staff must submit 2012/13 job proposals for the Work Study Program through the myCareer system administered by the Centre for Career Education.
The program funds part-time employment for students demonstrating genuine financial need—generally at no cost to campus employers.
Students apply through the Awards Search on the Student Information System or Student Portal and eligibility is determined through the Student Awards Office.
