Planned UWindsor email system update – Thursday, February 19, 8:00–8:30 a.m.

IT Services will be updating the University’s email configuration on Thursday, February 19, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. to enhance the delivery of automated messages sent from UWindsor systems.

No impact to regular email is expected. However, some messages may experience brief delays while the new configuration propagates across the Internet.

Wireless Access Maintenance to cause disruption in Leddy Library – February 19 & 23

Please be advised that Wireless Access Point (WAP) maintenance work will occur at Leddy Library on Thursday, February 19, and Monday, February 23. During this time, Wi-Fi service may experience intermittent disruptions.

Impacted areas include Leddy Main Basement, Leddy Main Floor 2, Leddy Main Floor 3, and Leddy Main Floor 4.

Scheduled maintenance for uwinsecure wireless network - Wednesday, February 18, from 7:30 - 8:30 am

IT Services will be migrating the authentication platform for the uwinsecure wireless network to a new system on Wednesday, February 18, from 7:30 - 8:30 am. This should have no impact on most wireless users. Some users who cannot connect after the migration may need to forget the uwinsecure network and re-connect.

Outlook Issue: External Emails Not Being Received - Thursday, January 22, 2026 - 3:30 PM

IT Services is aware of an issue where Outlook is not receiving emails sent from external senders. Messages sent from outside the organization may be delayed or may not be delivered. This issue began around 2:30 PM.

This includes notifications sent through Brightspace, TeamDynamix, and other external platforms or services that rely on email notifications.

Scheduled maintenance: Student Practicum Portal (Sonia) Tuesday, January 6 from 4:30 PM – 12:00 AM (EST)

IT Services will perform scheduled maintenance on Sonia, the Student Practicum Portal application, on Tuesday, January 6, from 4:30 PM – 12:00 AM.

No service disruptions to Sonia are anticipated; however, users may experience slow system performance during this period.
