Mentors from the Master of Engineering (MEng) program celebrated an outstanding Winter 2022 term by participating in a friendly “Tallest Marshmallow Tower” contest on May 3 in the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation.

The event recognized the time, effort, and dedication by all MEng’s current mentors.

The MEng Peer Mentor Program matches returning students with incoming students to provide necessary support, engagement, and leadership. Mentoring is an opportunity to connect, network, and lead in promotion of student success.

Mentors meet weekly with their mentees to address questions, provide resources, and support student transition. Mentors also promote campus events, support student orientation, and commit to training and program administration.

“Our mentors are paying it forward with their dedication to support new international students in their transition to student life in Canada,” says Laura Ducharme, International Student Advisor. “Today’s fun event is an opportunity to celebrate their commendable efforts.”
