Analog and Mixed-Signal Research Lab

Welcome to the Analog and Mixed-Signal (AMS) Research Lab at the University of Windsor. The AMS lab explores and proposes solutions to overcome challenges for low-power and sub-nanometer design of analog integrated circuits. The main approach taken in the lab is to implement signal processing algorithms using integrated circuits for a specific application. Hence Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) method is used to tackle the issues and find the efficient solutions. For certain projects, due to its requirements, general purpose processors or FPGAs may be utilized.

The AMS lab collaborates with other research groups such as UWinSecurity, Research Centre for Integrated Microsystems (RCIM), and Cross Border Institute (CBI) for multidisciplinary research that extends to hardware security and IOT projects. The lab possesses the state-of-the-art workstations and measurement instruments for various test and measurements required for verification and validation of theories.
