The University of Windsor’s Faculty of Nursing seeks applications for two (2) Twelve-month Limited-term Teaching Intensive (TI) positions at the rank of Lecturer, commencing as early as August 15, 2026.

Graduates from the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Windsor are highly respected professionals both locally and globally. We continually strive to build on our strengths to create and maintain teaching excellence within a research-intensive environment. Since 2001, the Faculty of Nursing has partnered with the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology in Windsor, Chatham (St. Clair College) and Sarnia (Lambton College) to deliver a collaborative nursing program (BScN). The MScN and MN graduate programs offer education to students interested in the fields of leadership and advanced clinical practice, including the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Our expanded graduate offerings include a PhDnd clinical for instructors. The position will also provide mentoring and oversight of consistency in teaching and curriculum to clinical instructors to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to engage with nursing students at the highest level of excellence. The successful appointees will also fulfil responsibilities of service to the Faculty of Nursing and to the university community.

The ideal candidate will also have at least five years of nursing teaching or teaching related nursing practice experience; experience in and a commitment to the teaching of undergraduate and graduate nursing theory courses; experience with mentorship of colleagues;  excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated administration and leadership skills; excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities and demands; and an ability to work effectively with students, instructors, faculty, staff and external partners/stakeholders in a professional, pleasant, and supportive manner.

The successful candidate must have:

  • a graduate degree in Nursing;
  • at least five years of clinical and/or nursing teaching experience, which includes supervising, mentoring, precepting and teaching students, staff and patients;
  • experience with mentorship;
  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), in good standing with no practice restrictions, or equivalent registration with a Canadian Registered Nurse regulatory body and the ability to obtain CNO registration by the date of hire;
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching expertise in clinical education and clinical practicum education; and
  • experience working with various internal and external partners and stakeholders, including: students, instructors, faculty, staff in a professional, pleasant, and supportive manner.

Compensation:

$64,807 - $110,173

This is within the 2026-2027 salary range for the rank as outlined in Article A Table A.1 of the current Collective Agreement with the Windsor University Faculty Association. The compensation offered to the successful candidate will take into consideration the available budget, their experience and existing salary structure. A full range of benefits including a pension plan and medical benefits are available to the successful candidate.
