Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS)

The Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS) program is designed to diversity international connections among Canada and a wide range of countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Eligible students may receive between $10,200 and $12,700 for a period of four to six months. 

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible country/territory;
  • Paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of their mobility in Canada.

To apply, submit the application form by March 15, 2026.

Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP)

The Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) promotes partnerships, student mobility, and research collaboration between post-secondary institutions in Canada and the Americas. Students from eligible countries may receive between $8,200 and $11,100 for a period of four to six months. 

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible country/territory;
  • Paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of their mobility in Canada;

Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program

The 2026 Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program (CCSEP) is now accepting applications! Canadian students, faculty, researchers, and mid-career professionals working in public and private sectors are eligible to apply. Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Application

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of the Government of Japan offers scholarships to Canadian students who wish to study at Japanese universities. Opportunities are available for undergraduate students and university graduate interested in pursuing research in Japan.
