The University of Windsor is committed to building meaningful global partnerships that support education, research, and innovation. We welcome new partnership inquiries and are interested in exploring initiatives that align with our academic strengths and strategic priorities.

Agreement Types


  1. Memorandum of Understanding: A MOU is a general agreement between institutions that outlines specific goals for future collaboration. This type of agreement does not make any formal commitments.
  2. Memorandum of Agreement: A MOA is a formal business document used to outline an agreement made between two separate institutions/entities, groups or individuals.
  3. Letter of Intent: A Letter of Intent is an agreement where we would like to formally articulate the collaboration between institutions, but there are no tangible or specific outcomes for the partnership that have been agreed upon yet.
  4. Dual Degree Program: This is a degree program where a student would start their degree program at their home institution following a predetermined course map and then would take a predetermined set of courses at the University of Windsor with completion of degrees from both institutions.
  5. Internship Placement Agreement: An Internship Placement Agreement assists in placing international students into internship opportunities at the University of Windsor, articulates an agreement in placing University of Windsor students into an internship with a partner institution. This is often coupled with a MOU.
  6. Short-Term Academic Training Program: A short-term academic training program agreement outlines a short training program that results in academic credit for the candidate who completes the training.
  7. Short-Term Non-Academic Training Program: A short-term non-academic training program outlines a short training program that does not result in any academic credit for the candidate who completes the training.
