MFA Film Production
- Communication, Media and Film offers a a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production program.
- Our MFA program is committed to the development of each candidate’s creative practice in film. Graduate students take a practice-based research approach to the conceptualization, development, production, and post-production of a short thesis film.
- MFA candidates pursue diverse aesthetic, thematic, and technical approaches, creating original work across fiction, documentary, and experimental film. Their studies are supported by a collegial environment and by faculty and staff with broad research interests and professional expertise.
- Our faculty have established national and international reputations, with expertise in fiction, experimental, and documentary film from expository and cinéma-vérité approaches to poetic and expanded ‘i-doc’ models.
- We encourage applications from filmmakers working in a wide variety of contemporary practices.
