A Cross Border Collaboration
Sofie Jarvis (UWindsor BFA Student) and James Kern (Wayne State University MFA Student) have joined forces to use the techniques explored in the Inspired Acting Lab on an extra-curricular project. James’s explanation follows.
This project is a concoction of hopes and dreams held together by a Fantastic Realism foundation that pushes the performers towards a greater subconscious understanding of their characters’ relationships through psycho-physical analysis. Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice is a perfect vehicle to explore the realm of the fantastic with the full bodied weight of reality. We hope to continue and broaden this international exploration of artistry and define what the fantastic is for us. This truly is a project founded in love and dedicated to a Feeling of Ease, Form, Beauty and the Whole.
