The University of Windsor and the City of Roses will proudly play host to the 2026 U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball National Championship tournament for the first time in school history.
Our Lancer men’s volleyball program is a perennial powerhouse, with Head Coach James Gravelle’s teams consistently ranked in the top ten in Canada. The Lancers are coming off an impressive campaign that saw them finish first overall in the Ontario University Athletics conference and host the OUA Championship match in front of a frenzied, capacity crowd inside the Toldo Lancer Centre.
The Department of Athletics at the University of Windsor has an impressive history of hosting high-profile sporting events, including previous U SPORTS national championships as well as other international championship events. In March of 2026, the Windsor Lancers will host the eight best men’s volleyball programs from across Canada for the first time ever, bringing elite level volleyball to the centre stage here in our Windsor-Essex region.
