Overview

Led by the Registrar’s and Provost’s Office, the University of Windsor is implementing Infosilem Academic, a centralized, cloud-based scheduling and timetabling platform designed specifically for higher education. Building on the system’s successful use for exam scheduling, InfoSilem Academic will replace manual processes with a comprehensive approach to course timetabling, room allocation, and campus space management. The platform will bring together program requirements, student demand, and room availability, as well as instructor constraints and accommodation needs, while providing advanced scenario planning and conflict detection to help scheduling teams identify challenges, evaluate options, and develop more cohesive and effective schedules. By improving visibility and coordination across campus, the system will support more efficient use of existing classroom space, better align resources with academic needs, and create schedules that help students stay on track for timely graduation while providing a more transparent, efficient, and streamlined planning experience for faculty and staff.
