Interim Chief Financial Officer
Reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor, Marie will provide direction on all financial and operational matters while leading the University's finance and operations team.
Marie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an MBA from the University of Windsor. She also holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, a CPA designation, and is a Fellow and life member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
In February, the Honourable Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, announced the selection of Marie as Chair of Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) Board of Directors, where she has been a member since 2017. Since retiring from her role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare, Marie was appointed as an Executive in Residence at the Odette School of Business, a position that is currently on pause while she serves as interim chief financial officer.
She holds several governance positions that include Board Member of Essex Energy Corporation, Member of the LaSalle Police Board, Member of Assumption University, Member of Invest Windsor Essex, Past Chair of Transform Shared Services Organization, and a past Board Member of the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce. Marie also previously held many board and committee positions with Essex Power Corporation, CMA Ontario, and CMA Canada.
