University, faculty ratify collective agreement

A Collective Agreement has been successfully ratified by the Windsor University Faculty Association (WUFA) representing 581 full time faculty and librarians and 364 sessional members. WUFA members accepted the agreement in a vote on November 1, and the University’s Board of Governors also successfully ratified the agreement during a special meeting November 2.

UWindsor President Alan Wildeman expressed his appreciation for the successful completion of bargaining.

“This agreement with the Faculty Association concludes our collective bargaining activities of the past year and a half. I want to thank all of those involved in negotiations, and WUFA members for helping us arrive at a deal that provides the best support possible for members, within the realities facing universities across Ontario," he said.

“At its heart, the new agreement captures the commitment of WUFA members to providing the best education for our students.”

Highlights of the agreement are available on the collective bargaining Web site.
