Changes in store this summer for campus food outlets

Food Services will offer more choices to students, faculty and staff on campus this summer, says department head Dave McEwen.

The Marketplace food court in the CAW Student Centre will operate all summer long and, beginning April 23, will feature a new Second Cup coffee program. This self-serve station will offer soups and pastries in addition to a range of hot beverages.

The Subway sandwich counter will serve breakfast and lunch, while Bernie’s Grill and Pizza Pizza open during lunch hours. The outlet will continue to offer a variety of grab-and-go options, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Tim Horton’s outlet at Dividends in the Odette Building will also open all summer, with the same selection of drinks, pastries and sandwiches, for what McEwen says is the first time in years.

Finally, he notes the University Club, located on the ground floor of Vanier Hall, will close for the summer after Friday’s lunch.

“I want to thank everybody for your patronage and look forward to welcoming you back to the University Club in September,” McEwen says.
