Participating in the Club Day fair Thursday in the CAW Student Centre was worth the effort, says Vidya Mohan, president of the Indian Students’ Association.

“Look how many members we reached,” she said as she held up pages filled with students who signed up for her group.

Her club was among dozens who staffed tables and displays to attract potential supporters. While the Indian Students’ Association focuses on cultural and social activities, other participating groups pursue political or educational causes. Hundreds of students filed through the event, picking up literature and engaging in discussion.

“It’s a chance for all of us to see what is going on and what is available to the students,” said computer engineering student Shivender.
