People at GLIER

Under the directorship of Dr. Daniel Heath, nine faculty members at GLIER work together with the Auxiliary Academic Staff, Post-Doctoral Fellows, Graduate Students and Staff to conduct exciting interdisciplinary research programs.

GLIER's nine researchers have received over $17 million in funding in recent years, 5 Canada Research Chairs, 4 Premier’s Research Excellence Awards, a Department of Fisheries and Oceans Invasive Species Research Chair and a Fellow in the Fellowship in the Royal Society of Canada.

GLIER researchers have been featured in CNN, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Maclean’s, Globe and Mail, National Post, Discovery Channel, and CBC television and radio.
