Research Overview

The University of Windsor’s Faculty of Science is a research powerhouse. Research within the faculty is driven by professors with productive and dynamic programs where graduate and undergraduate students figure prominently. 

Faculty members hold international reputations across the scientific disciplines of biology, chemistry and biochemistry, computer science, earth and environmental science, economics, mathematics and statistics, and physics. More than 650 graduate students and a host of undergraduates conduct leading-edge research in state-of-the-art laboratories, producing ground-breaking scientific discoveries.

While all areas of the sciences are represented in our research expertise, established core research themes include: The Environment, Biomedical Science, Advanced Materials, and Data Analytics and Visualization. Annually, Faculty of Science Professors and Students receive tens of millions of dollars in research funding and publish hundreds of articles in peer-reviewed journals.
