Accessibility Planning Committee

The Accessibility Planning Committee’s mission is to proactively raise awareness about issues, supports, and possible improvements for people with disabilities and to advocate for the removal of access barriers, including stigma, within the School of Social Work.

Students in both Social Work and Disability Studies are encouraged to join any of the following subcommittees:

Awareness and Education

  • Invisible Disabilities
  • Attraction to the Social Work Program

We invite you to join us in proactively raising awareness about issues, supports, and possible improvements for people with disabilities. We advocate for the removal of access barriers, including stigma, within the School of Social Work.

There are opportunities for new members to take part in existing or new sub committees on topics such as, education and awareness or invisible disabilities, etc. Help us to create a culture that is more sensitive to issues about disabilities that are relevant to all of us.
