Dr. Richard Peddie

Dr. Richard Peddie is very proud grad of the University of Windsor’s school of business. He is an active and supportive alum who credits his classmates and professors for helping him realize his many career successes.  After a very busy 41-year career in packaged goods, venue management, television and sports management he retired in 2012.  Expecting to have a somewhat active retirement he never imagined morphing into an active community champion, philanthropist and author.

Richard’s first book was the best selling “Dream Job” which talked about realizing a dream he had at the university to some day run a basketball team. Twenty 27 years later he realized that dream when he became the president of the Toronto Raptors.  “21 Leadership Lessons” followed and more recently he morphed into a self-taught Urbanist with “Great Small Towns of Ontario”.  All career moves and books stayed true to his strong belief in having a clear vision and rock-solid values.
