Dr. Rachel Aleks is an Associate Professor of Labour Studies at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and completed her PhD in Industrial Relations and Human Resources at the University of Toronto.

Rachel is committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion and is involved in working towards justice for individuals who have been impacted by the criminal legal system.

Dr. Aleks’ research interests include innovative union organizing strategies, gender dynamics within unions, and workplace sexual harassment. Her research has appeared in journals including the British Journal of Industrial Relations, ILR Review, and Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society.  She teaches courses on labour relations, workplace conflict, and employment law. Prior to attending graduate school, Rachel worked as an organizer for the Service Employees International Union.
