Campus Ministry is more that just a list of programs and events. We are a community of people!
Most of our programming runs from September-April.
Campus Ministry’s programming for Fall 2024 is as follows:
Food for Thought: Taking place at 12:30pm, Food for Thought will be taking place twice per month in the Campus Ministry Student Lounge. This free, home-cooked meal gives you the chance to talk over a general faith topic with your peers. Please inform Jessica of any allergies you have (please note, all items in the Student Lounge are peanut-free). Food for Thought will take place on the following dates: October 23rd, November 13th, November 27th, and December 4th.
Campus Ministry Lounge: this quiet study space on the 2nd Floor of Assumption Hall features free coffee, tea, and cozy spots to work in.
Aspire: this program for Teacher’s College students helps in developing faith and connecting with local priests. Aspire consists of 3 Zoom sessions per semester with the Director of Campus Ministry, followed by students committing to at least 3 instances per semester of parish volunteer work. Aspire registration is closed for the year. If you would like to register for the 2025-2026 session, please email jlemmon@assumptionu.ca.
Mass in the Lounge: A Basilian Father will help us celebrate Mass in the Campus Ministry’s Student Lounge at 12pm. This allows students the opportunity to encounter the Eucharist in a small, personal setting. The next Mass in the Lounge is Tuesday October 29th.
Social Justice Group: Are you a Young Adult with serious concerns about the state of the world? Do you question how your generation is called to serve the mission of social justice in light of your faith and discipleship of Jesus? Do you even know what the Catholic Church teaches about social justice? Then come join in our monthly Justice conversations to learn about Catholic Social teaching and apply it to the situations you face every day. Our first session is on Fri. Oct 18th from 6:30-8:00pm in Rosary Hall, Assumption Church. No registration required. There will be prayer, a short video presentation, and a discussion on how we understand social justice, Subsequent meetings will cover the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
Seasonal Events: stay tuned for events for Halloween, Advent, and Christmas.
Campus Ministry is fortunate to be partnering with Our Lady of Assumption Parish, part of the Windsor Heritage Catholic Family of Parishes, to offer students even further events and Mass opportunities. This page will continue to be updated with these events.
