In Person Mass
The Catholic Mass is the greatest form of prayer we have. We are so #blessed to have a Catholic Parish right on our campus! Every Sunday at 7:30 we gather at Assumption Church for Mass. This is a regular parish Mass, however you will notice a higher number of young adults and students than other Masses. The music is contemporary and beautiful. The Mass is usually celebrated by our Chaplain, Fr. Steven Huber, CSB and once a month is celebrated by the Pastor of Assumption Church, Fr. Maurice Restivo, CSB.
In the midst of the pandemic, there are several safety protocols in place for Mass. One of those include reserving a place at Mass.
Returning to Mass in-person is optional.
During this time, there is no obligation to go to Mass. Sundays are especially difficult for those who would normally make Sunday Mass a part of their routines. And everyday feels exactly the same when you’re staying home.
While everything else seems to be upside down, we recomment doing your best to keep Sunday special. To keep it holy.
➕ Do not do any unnecessary work.
➕ Read the Gospel, participate in Mass virtually.
➕ Dress for Mass.
➕ Take a walk.
➕ Have family or household dinner.
Whatever you do, make it a routine. Sundays are a sweet gift from God meant to order our days and reset our minds, bodies, and souls.
While it is not the same, technology allows us to experience mass virtually.
