Canterbury College is a not for profit charitable corporation in the business of providing education and residence opportunities for students. As an affiliate college of the University of Windsor, Canterbury plays an important role in the recruitment of students, both international and domestic. 

The following are some of the major functions and accomplishments of Canterbury College:

  • Seek to provide an environment conducive to the development of the complete person - mind, body and spirit.

  • Promote a positive academic environment where learning at all levels thrives through the creation of courses, and through maintenance and operation of university residence.

  • Offer opportunities to excel academically, meet new friends, and live in a supportive residence environment in a home away from home while attending University. 

The corporation is run by a Board of Directors. The Chair is the Bishop of Huron, currently The Right Reverend Canon Dr. Todd Townshend. The local Board of Directors is run by an Executive committee elected annually, current President The Venerable Jane Humphreys

Canterbury College is home to Canterbury ElderCollege, a program for the growing segment of the population over the age of 55.  Designed to provide learning opportunities for older adults who wish to enrich their lifestyle through active involvement in education and contribute to the social and cultural development of the community.
