Access Compressed Gas Training
Course Overview
This training program provides participants with a brief overview of compressed gas cylinder safety, including recommended safety practices for users, how to safely store, handle, and use compressed gases within containers. In addition, the presentation covers hazard classifications and appropriate emergency response procedures. It is recommended that all individuals who use compressed gas cylinders on campus complete this training program.
Course Breakdown
This course is divided into four (4) modules plus an introduction:
- General Overview
- Module 1 ‐ Handling
- Module 2 ‐ Storage
- Module 3 – Usage
- Module 4 – Hazard Classification and Emergency Response
Examination
At the end of the four (4) modules you may proceed to take the final examination. You must score 80% in all quizzes and the final exam to successfully complete the course.
Computer Requirements
This course can be taken from either a PC or MAC. Minimum requirements are:
- An internet connection
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
- Macromedia Flash Player Plug‐In
- Speakers to hear the audio
