Lecture to offer look at brain neuroplasticity

Human thoughts can change the function and even the structure of our brains, a discovery Norman Doidge calls the most important breakthrough in our understanding of the brain in 400 years.

A psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, he will discuss the implications in a free public lecture entitled “The Brain That Changes Itself,” Sunday, October 2, at 3 p.m. in Assumption University Chapel.

In his book of the same title, Dr. Doidge introduces principles we can all use to overcome a number of brain limitations to alter permanently the way we look at human possibility and human nature.

This is the opening lecture of the Rev. Dr. Paul J. Rennick, CSB, Distinguished Speaker Series on Spirituality and Well Being. Attendance is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. Please register by e-mailing cbertrand@assumptionu.ca.
