Artists work in a number of capacities – as educators, administrators, organizers and activists to list just a few.
A panel of three leading Canadian artists will speak about their experiences juggling multiple roles and maintaining their art practices while building community and mobilizing discussions through their “day jobs” as cultural workers and organizers.
“Is it a Hybrid Art Practice?” Thursday, February 9, at 7 p.m. at the Art Gallery of Windsor featured panellists Lise Beaudry, Gina Badger and Reena Katz, moderated by UWindsor grad Sarah Beveridge (BFA 1997), proprietor of the commercial gallery, SB Contemporary Art.
The event is part of the Alone + Together Visiting Artists Series presented in collaboration with the School of Visual Arts, and is free with paid admission to the gallery. The Art Gallery of Windsor is located at 401 Riverside Drive West.
