#2012-13-07 Media and Audio Visual Technician ‘IV’ in the Centre for Teaching and Learning

Reporting to the Manager of Educational Technologies, the incumbent will provide technical support for the Centre for Teaching and Learning in the areas of media production and educational technologies contributing to the overall effectiveness of the unit. The incumbent will assist in the daily operations of the department, which may include technical troubleshooting, providing backup for service technicians, and resolving minor daily issues. These systems may include audio-visual, media production, and videoconferencing equipment. In addition, the Media & Audio Visual Technician will ensure, in conjunction with other CTL staff, accurate application of CTL booking and billing policies. The incumbent will be required to report daily on issues related to the use and performance of classroom and related learning spaces equipment. The primary function of this position will be to provide intermediate-level technical support to the Educational Technologies and Media Production unit as required (this may include encoding videos, equipment diagnosis and repair, video production assistance, etc.). In conjunction with other CTL staff, the incumbent will be required to support audio-video and media production related equipment and systems.
