Instructors looking for new ways to incorporate modern technology into their teaching will want to attend the Summer Series on Teaching and Learning.
The series, which begins tomorrow, offers seven free interactive sessions, and closes with a free barbecue luncheon on Aug. 16.
It all kicks off Tuesday at 9 a.m. with a dynamic and energizing workshop on using technology to enhance teaching and student learning, conducted by award-winning chemistry instructor Bal Barot from Lake Michigan College. Participants will explore why some technologies help to achieve learning outcomes while others do not, and how to use specific technologies like discussion boards, blogs, digital cameras, and smartphones, in and out of the classroom.
