Science Rendezvous will offer mall-goers a unique experience during Saturday’s Research Showcase event—a chance to see how they would look if they were scientists.
“We will have a photo booth that will allow people to immerse themselves in science,” says organizer Tazeen Ahmed, a third-year arts and science student majoring in biology. “They will be able to pick up a photographic print at our Science Rendezvous.”
Science Rendezvous, May 11 in the CAW Student Centre, promises a fun way to learn more about science.
“We tried to pick out activities that will be interesting to people,” says Ahmed. “They will be informative and educational, but still very interactive.”
This year, for the first time, visitors will also be able to tour some campus labs, with tours planned of the Centre for Engineering Innovation and the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research.
The Research Showcase and Outreach Community Event takes place at Devonshire Mall on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature UWindsor faculty from a wide variety of disciplines demonstrating examples of their work.
