Kinesiology professor Paula Van Wyk will join UWindsor staffers Danielle Reaume of the labour studies and women’s studies programs, Nancy McMahon of alumni and donor records, Marga Pomponio of the payroll office, and Sarah Cats of the Office of Research and Graduate Studies in cheering on the Lancers when they take to Alumni Field to open the 2013 football season on Sunday.

The five had their names drawn from all those contestants able to correctly answer these quiz questions about Windsor’s champion 1975 squad: that the Lancers earned a share of the Yates Cup by defeating Laurier in the West Division final, 65-8; that the team allowed just 34 points through a seven-game season; and that nine players were named divisional all-stars.

Our five winners each received a pair of tickets to Sunday’s contest against the Waterloo Warriors. Game time is 1 p.m. If you didn’t win freebies, not to fear—tickets will be available at the gate.

Admission is $12 general admission, $10 for youths and seniors, and $15 for premium gold seating; UWindsor students with ID admitted free.
