Music instructor to lift voice in performance this weekend

Vocalist Shahida Nurullah, a voice teacher at the UWindsor School for Arts and Creative Innovation, will appear in a series of performances over the Labour Day weekend.

She will close out the long weekend as a guest soloist with the Detroit Jazz Festival Orchestra as it presents the Duke Ellington masterwork Black, Brown and Beige, at 3:15 p.m. Monday on the Carhartt Amphitheatre Stage in Hart Plaza. Learn more on the festival’s website.
