Volunteers needed for weekend graduation ceremonies

Volunteers play a crucial role in making Convocation ceremonies a truly memorable experience for graduates, their parents and guests, says Alison Zilli, acting assistant registrar.

“It is so wonderful for our students to have the staff and faculty they have worked alongside present for the culmination of their time at UWindsor,” she says. “It really makes them feel appreciated as they cross the stage for their graduation.”

The University will celebrate its historic 100th Convocation in morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday, October 19. Volunteers are required for both sessions.

  • Morning: 8:30 a.m. to noon, engineering, nursing, sciences and inter-faculty programs;
  • Afternoon: 1:30 to 5 p.m., arts, humanities and social sciences; business; education; human kinetics; and law.
