Trick or Eat to stock local food banks

Student volunteers will hit the streets of Windsor on Hallowe’en, dressing in costume and going door-to-door to collect donations. But rather than candy, they will be asking for non-perishable foodstuffs.

The Organization of Part-time University Students is among the sponsors of Trick or Eat in support of Meal Exchange Windsor. Collections will go to Hiatus House and the Well-Come Centre.

Volunteers must register at www.trickoreat.ca and will gather at 5 p.m. Thursday in Assumption University’s Freed-Orman Centre for a $2 dinner before setting off.

Donations will also be collected Wednesday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the CAW Student Centre in “Reverse Trick or Eat.”
