Campus mourns death of education professor Marlene Maldonado

Marlene Maldonado, a UWindsor professor of educational psychology who died December 30, is remembered by her colleagues as a caring teacher and respected member of faculty.

“She was someone who was very conscientious, and took a very collaborative approach,” said acting dean of education Karen Roland. “Dr. Maldonado had a moral centre that always guided that her work and led her to put her students first.”

Dr. Maldonado joined the Faculty of Education in 2005 at the rank of assistant professor.

Campus flags will be lowered in her memory on Thursday, January 9.
