Women’s hockey set to begin playoffs Thursday

The Lancer women’s hockey team will host the Queen’s Gaels for the opener of a three-game Ontario University Athletics quarter-final series on Thursday, February 13, at South Windsor Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The squad finished the regular season in fifth place after a 7-1-1 run since the holiday break.

Forward Jenny MacKnight made history by capturing the OUA individual scoring title, the first Windsor player to do so.  The fourth-year environmental studies major notched 15 goals and 25 assists over 24 games.

Tickets to Thursday’s game are $15 general admission, $8 for youths and seniors, and $3 for UWindsor students. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. The series will continue, with games two and three (if necessary) scheduled for the weekend in Kingston.
