This March, the University of Windsor is hosting the 2014 CIS Women’s Basketball Championships from March 14 to 16 at the St. Denis Centre. Over the course of the next two weeks, the Windsor Lancers will offer a sneak peak at members of the three-time defending champions and give you an inside look at these student-athletes.

“The Hunger Games.”
What is your favourite Lancer moment?
My favourite Lancer moment goes way back to my first year, the year we won our first national championship!
What is your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment has yet to come. I have accomplished many things through my life and been on many teams but my “greatest” accomplishment has yet to be … accomplished.
Who is your hero and why?
One of my heroes is my family, who are and have been my number one support system. Without them I wouldn’t have been encouraged to be better than I was. They always were positive and believed in me.
What does being a Lancer mean to you?
Being a Lancer is not only about representing your team and your school but your community as a whole. As a Lancer in any sport, there are lot of younger kids who want to be just like you and work hard just like you. So being a Lancer is giving back and performing to the best of your abilities for the team (i.e. the community).
