Open house a walk down memory lane for nursing alumni

An open house planned by the Faculty of Nursing to celebrate the University’s 50th anniversary will offer the opportunity to view its state-of-the-art Clinical Learning Centre facilities housed in the Medical Education Building.

The event will allow for tours of the newly-expanded space, including a simulation lab that houses mannequins that can breathe, talk, and respond to treatments like real patients for students to practice on.

Organizers will display some historical items—books, nursing cap and pins from many years ago—and serve refreshments. It all takes place Tuesday, May 13, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on the third floor of the Medical Education Building. Learn more on the faculty’s website.
