Donors who attend a reception June 9 in recognition of their support for the Annual Giving Program will be entered into a draw for two special door prizes—naming rights to a commemorative bench on the UWindsor campus and train travel for two on Via Rail.

“We are very excited to be able to offer these prizes, courtesy of generous sponsors,” says development officer Mona Dosen. “It will make our celebration just a little more exciting.”

Invitations to the event have been issued to faculty, staff and retiree supporters of the 2013/14 Annual Giving Program. To indicate your intentions to attend, RSVP by June 2 to Dosen at mona@uwindsor.ca or 519-253-3000, ext. 4279.

The wrought-iron benches, located across campus, normally require a $1500 contribution for sponsors to specify text engraved on a personalized plaque. One winner will earn the right to honour an individual, organization or occasion.

Via Rail has donated round-trip fare for two to any destination within its Windsor-Quebec corridor, valued at up to $1200. Travel must be completed by September 21.

“Either of these would be a wonderful prize to win,” says Dosen, who takes special care to remind invitees that they must be present in person to be eligible to win.
