The University of Windsor announced Wednesday that Holly Ward has resigned from her position as chief communications officer to launch her own public relations consultancy business.
“I want to thank Holly for her exceptional efforts to advance the University of Windsor’s marketing, communications, and public outreach,” said president Alan Wildeman. “She will be greatly missed, and I wish her the very best as she takes a bold new step in her career.”
During her time as chief communications officer, Ward led the expansion of recruitment marketing efforts, launched a new web image and logo, and gained wide media recognition for the research, teaching, and service achievements of faculty, students and staff. Her last day at UWindsor will be June 27.
A 1995 graduate in communications and English, Ward said she enjoyed her four years back on the UWindsor campus.
“I’ve greatly enjoyed these past four years at my alma mater and the opportunity to help elevate its profile in the media and in our recruitment markets,” she said. “I’m looking forward to pursuing a new entrepreneurial opportunity and offering my expertise to organizations of all sizes to help them develop and execute creative public relations solutions.”
