Open house Friday a chance to show off the campus

Thousands of prospective students and members of their families will visit the UWindsor campus for its Spring Open House on Friday, March 20.

Lionel Walsh, assistant vice-president for North American recruitment, reminds faculty, staff and students to extend a friendly welcome to visitors.

“The day will offer them an opportunity to meet with professors, staff and current students and learn about programs of interest,” he says. “We want to show these students how excited we are to have them considering our university.”

A check-in counter in the CAW Student Centre will help direct guests to the information fair, the 52 program presentations, and tours of campus, residence, athletics, the EPICentre, as well as academic areas.

Students will also have an opportunity to learn about fees and financial aid, as well as application processes for medical and law school. This year’s event will include sessions on UWindsor's Outstanding Scholars program and information for college and university transfer students.

“Our success requires everyone’s contributions, from academic advisors to food services,” says Walsh. “The community always does its part and we hope that this year will continue this long tradition.”
