Drama students give thanks—and theatre tickets—to Womyn’s Centre

The Womyn’s Centre is one of the warmest, kindest places on campus, says Billy Chandler, president of the drama student society Club SODA. He led a delegation Tuesday presenting complimentary theatre tickets to its staff and volunteers.

“Thanking the Womyn’s Centre was something that has been important to me since we started delivering complimentary tickets to different campus groups,” he said. “The times I have been there have always been pleasant memories with new friends, and it is almost completely volunteer-run.”

He said the space, located on the second floor of the CAW Student Centre, seems always open for conversation and filled with incredible people: “The next time you're passing by, swing in and thank those incredible volunteers.”

Womyn’s Centre members received free admission to the current University Players production, An Experiment with an Air Pump. The play will run January 29 through February 7 in the Essex Hall Theatre. Find tickets at www.UniversityPlayers.com or by calling the box office at 519-253-3000, ext. 2808.
