Lancer men’s hockey will begin its quest for the Queen’s Cup this weekend, hosting the Toronto Varsity Blues and Ryerson Rams at South Windsor Arena.
The Lancer men’s hockey team will open regular-season play Friday, October 7, hosting the Toronto Varsity Blues at South Windsor Arena. The gate opens at 6:30 p.m. with the puck dropping at 7:30 p.m.
The squad will close out the weekend with a home contest against the Ryerson Rams, also set for 7:30 p.m.
Season tickets for the 2016-17 campaign are still available through Lancers’ online box office.

The women’s fastpitch team is at the other end of its season, making its final home stand this weekend. The team will play Friday against the Waterloo Warriors on Tom Wilson diamond in Forest Glade, at 7 and 9 p.m., and then wind up its regular season Saturday with games against the Laurier Golden Hawks at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Turtle Club in LaSalle.
Windsor is fighting for a playoff berth and hopes to draw fans Saturday with a prize draw, raffles and music.
Alumni Field is the setting Friday, October 7, for men’s and women’s soccer against the Western Mustangs. The women play at 6 p.m. and the men at 8:15 p.m.
And away from home, the Lancer football team is in Ottawa today to meet the Carleton Ravens. Kick-off is at 1 p.m. The game will be webcast live on OUA.tv.
