Committee conducts survey of campus safety features

A diverse group of UWindsor employees travelled across the campus Tuesday with an eye toward safety and accessibility.

The annual survey seeks deficiencies to report to Facility Services for remediation.

“Thankfully, the rain held off but it was cold and blustery for the volunteers who walked the campus to note lights that are not operating, foliage that is overgrown and in need of a trim or walkways that could pose a trip hazard,” said Rose Briscoe of Campus Community Police. “We had a diverse group to assist us — first timers and veterans representing six different offices.”

The group will compile its findings as soon as possible and forward them for review and action to improve campus safety.
