Web design rollout slated for June 15

An automated rollout of new designs for UWindsor webpages is scheduled for Thursday, June 15, reports Public Affairs and Communications.

The colour schemes, menus, headers and footers will reflect those already in use on the UWindsor.ca homepage.

“This update will enhance the overall consistency of our web presence,” says PAC director John Coleman. “It will help to reinforce the unity of our message across the entire site.”

Created by advertising agency STC and approved by the University’s senior management, the designs will apply only to websites in version 7 of Drupal, the University’s content management system.

Pages still using previous iterations of Drupal will not receive the upgrade.

The change-over will necessitate no action by web editors, although they may experience minor inconsistencies through the day as the process unfolds. Any serious issues should be reported to Information Technology Services through its Team Dynamix help ticket system.
