Lancer men’s and women’s soccer will play the only home games this weekend that count, although there is plenty of important action elsewhere for varsity teams.

Soccer will host the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday and the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday at Alumni Field. The women will play at 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday; the men at 8:15 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

The Lancer baseball club is seeded 10th in the OUA title tournament this weekend in Ajax.

Men’s hockey will play its season opener Friday, October 13, in Toronto against the York Lions. The Windsor team then heads over to Ryerson to face off against the Rams at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Football is in Hamilton to meet the McMaster Marauders on Saturday, October 14; kick-off is at 1 p.m.

Cross country athletes will be in Peoria, Illinois, to run in the Bradley Pink Classic meet Friday.

Women’s volleyball will wrap up its pre-season Friday with a match against Marygrove College in Detroit.

Men’s volleyball is in St. Catharines competing in the Brock Invitational tourney, with games against squads from Royal Military College, Brock, Western and Toronto.

Women’s hockey will play a final pre-season exhibition against the Western Mustangs, Saturday in London.
