Film screening to explore environmental impact of animal agriculture

A class on “Media, Technology and the Environment” is teaming up with the Windsor Animal Allies club to host a free public screening of the documentary Cowspiracy: the Sustainability Secret at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, in room G133, Chrysler Hall North.

Course instructor Tim Brunet says the movie offers students and their guests the opportunity to analyze one of the many environmental messages occurring in the public sphere.

In a series of interviews he presents here, filmmaker Kip Andersen finds leaders in the environmental movement unwilling to discuss what he calls the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption, and pollution: animal agriculture. Watch a trailer:
