Now that the frosty temperatures have finally arrived, students in need are finding they need more than food.

The campus food bank, located in Canterbury College, has been getting requests for winter coats, reports manager Sandi Rose.

“If anyone has an extra coat that’s still in good condition, I know we can find a home for it with an appreciative student,” she says. “Your generosity will warm more than their hearts.”

In addition, supplies are low of toothbrushes, toothpaste, bar soap, and shampoo. Donations will be accepted at Canterbury College, 2500 University Avenue West, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please make cheques payable to Iona College.
