Lecture to examine advertising and consumer culture

UWindsor communications professor Kyle Asquith will present a free public lecture, “Social Communications in Advertising,” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in Katzman Lounge, Vanier Hall, as part of the Humanities Research Group’s Martin Wesley Lecture Series.

The talk will examine the critical, cultural, and historical dimensions of advertising and consumer culture.

Dr. Asquith, a UWindsor alumnus (MA 2007), is the co-author of Social Communication in Advertising, and editor of Advertising, Consumer Culture, and Canadian Society: A Reader. He currently holds a University of Windsor Humanities Fellowship.
